Snoop Dogg, 52, ran a 200-meter dash at the US Olympic track and field team trials in Eugene, Ore., and needed a nap later. The rapper, who is known for his love of marijuana, tweeted a photo of himself on the track. in the photo, he is wearing a red tracksuit and a black hat, and he is holding a stopwatch. “Just ran the 200m dash at the Olympic trials,” he tweeted. “Needed a nap afterwards.”
Snoop Dogg is not the first celebrity to try out for the Olympics. In 2012, actor Ashton Kutcher ran the 100-meter dash at the US Olympic track and field team trials in Eugene, Ore. Kutcher finished the race in 11.24 seconds, which is not fast enough to qualify for the Olympics.
It is unclear if Snoop Dogg is serious about trying to qualify for the Olympics. However, he is a talented athlete. In 2019, he ran a 100-meter dash in 10.95 seconds, which is faster than the time that Kutcher ran in 2012. If Snoop Dogg continues to train, he could be a contender for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
