Amazon Set to Open Fulfillment Center in Mississippi
Jobs and Economic Growth on the Horizon
Amazon's commitment to Mississippi
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced a significant investment of $10 billion to build two new fulfillment centers in Mississippi. One of these facilities, located in the Madison County Mega Site, will measure 700,000 square feet and is expected to generate over 1,000 full-time jobs. This will be the third Amazon fulfillment center in Mississippi, joining the existing centers in Canton and elsewhere, which already utilize robotic technology.
As part of its commitment to the state, AWS will also establish a new regional air hub in Mississippi. This hub will provide dedicated air cargo capacity to support the company's growing e-commerce business in the region. The investment is expected to create additional jobs and boost the local economy.
The grand opening of the new fulfillment center is eagerly anticipated, bringing with it job opportunities and the latest advancements in logistics technology. Residents and businesses alike are excited for the positive impact this expansion will have on the Magnolia State.
