Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) recently announced on Twitter that he will support a plan to bail out the Democrat base at the expense of working Americans. This plan, which has been met with widespread criticism, would use taxpayer money to fund a variety of social programs that are popular with Democrats but not supported by the majority of Americans.
McConnell's plan is a blatant attempt to buy votes and ensure the Democrat base turns out in the upcoming election. It is a cynical and irresponsible move that will only add to the already unsustainable national debt. The working people of America cannot afford to be saddled with the burden of this bail out and it is time for McConnell and his fellow Republicans to stop putting the interests of their party ahead of the interests of the country.
